“Genomics-based Discovery of (potential) Pathogens for India’s North-Eastern Region (GDP-FINER)”
This project is being implemented in collaboration with the National Centre for Biological Sciences and aims to identify unknown pathogens in biodiversity hotspots of Northeast India.
IIPH Shillong Recruitment 2026 – Roles & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
- Support field data collection with the project team through surveys, interviews, and community records as per guidelines.
- Assist in field visits with nurses and lab technicians to ensure accurate and timely data collection.
- Manage medication logistics for health camps, including procurement, packing, transport, and on-site arrangement.
- Dispense medicines as per clinician prescriptions, following standard treatment and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate stock records, including movement, usage, and balance after each camp.
- Monitor expiry dates and flag medicines nearing expiry for timely replacement or return.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and transport of medicines as per standard guidelines.
- Coordinate with clinicians and team leads to update the essential drug list based on field needs.
- Prepare and submit reports on drug use, stock status, and logistics issues.
- Identify and resolve operational challenges to ensure smooth health camp activities.
- Support overall project work through teamwork, meetings, and process improvement.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Coordinator or Investigators.

- B.Pharm or D.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Registered with State Pharmacy Council.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
