ISRO URSC JRF Recruitment 2026 – Educational Qualification
For JRF-E1 to JRF-E12 and JRF-M1 to JRF-M3
- M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. (Engg.) or equivalent postgraduate degree in the relevant discipline.
- Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA/CPI on a 10-point scale.
- Candidates must have qualified GATE, CSIR-UGC NET, or an equivalent national-level examination.
For JRF-E13
- M.Sc. in Mathematics/Physics with at least 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA/CPI, OR
- M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering with at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA/CPI.
- Candidates must have qualified GATE, CSIR-UGC NET, or an equivalent national-level examination.
Accepted National-Level Examinations
Eligible candidates must have qualified any one of the following:
- CSIR-UGC NET (including NET-Lectureship)
- GATE
- JAM
- JEST
- Other national-level examinations conducted by organizations such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IITs, IISc, IISERs, NISER, etc.
Note: Qualification in one of the above national-level examinations is mandatory for all JRF positions.

ISRO URSC JRF Recruitment 2026 – Fellowship & Stipend
- Selected candidates will receive a JRF fellowship of ₹37,000 per month.
- Fellowship may be upgraded to SRF with ₹42,000 per month based on performance and eligibility.
- HRA will be provided as per rules if hostel accommodation is not available.
- Medical benefits and subsidized canteen facilities are admissible as per ISRO rules.
- Initial tenure is 2 years, extendable based on performance and project requirements, with a maximum tenure of 5 years (JRF + SRF combined).
- Eligible candidates may also be encouraged to pursue Ph.D. research through external university registration.

The selection process consists of:

Important Instructions
- All degrees must be recognized by AICTE, UGC, or any other authority approved by the Government of India.
- Candidates must have completed the required qualification within the prescribed course duration.
- If both CGPA and percentage are mentioned, either one must meet ISRO’s eligibility criteria.
- If only CGPA is mentioned, it must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. Conversion of CGPA to percentage is not permitted.
- Rounding off of marks or CGPA is not allowed.
- Candidates working in Government Departments, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview.
- For Dual/Integrated Degree holders, eligibility will be determined based on the CGPA/percentage mentioned in the degree certificate or consolidated mark sheet as per ISRO norms.
Note: Candidates should carefully verify their eligibility before applying, as applications not meeting the prescribed criteria may be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process.
General Conditions
- The JRF position is temporary and does not guarantee permanent employment in ISRO/URSC.
