“Zoonotic and Vector-Borne Diseases (ZVBD) in Northeast India: A Trans-Disciplinary Research and Training Centre”

Field Research Assistant

  • Number of Posts: 1

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), or
  • Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT)

Applicants with proficiency in the following languages will be preferred:

  • English

  • Hindi
  • Bengali

Experience Required

  • Clinical, laboratory, or field experience will be considered an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Collect and process samples along with socio-economic data from community participants.
  • Maintain safety standards and ensure quality control of all samples and equipment.
  • Properly label, store, and maintain collected samples.
  • Arrange safe transport of samples to the institute.
  • Coordinate with field and laboratory teams for smooth project execution.
  • Participate in fieldwork whenever required.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by the Principal Investigator or supervisor.
  • Prepare and process samples at study sites.
  • Maintain detailed work logs and documentation of all activities.
  • Submit weekly reports to the concerned supervisor.
  • Assist in report writing and regular project updates.

Salary

  • The annual salary package (CTC) will be offered based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and performance during the selection process.
